Ripple Farm visit this Saturday

This week we have green (or 'wet') garlic. These are the early or immature bulbs which, due to their young age, are far less potent than their mature version. They can be eaten raw or cooked and are a cinch to prepare - you don't even need to peel as their skins are really tender. They can go straight into salads (lovely for the warm weather we are having!) and you can also use them as you would other members of the allium family (spring onions, leeks or garlic). About the healthy properties of this ever present group of vegetables, check this explanation by Dr Fuhrman.

Would you like to see Ripple Farm?

Angel Greens, together with members of Kentish Town Vegbox, are visiting Ripple Farm this Saturday 20th May. Would you like to join us?

This is an awesome opportunity to meet one of our growers. We will see where and how our food is produced. The plan is to visit the farm for about an hour and a half (including a 20 min walk from Wye station. We'll then finish up with a pub lunch in Wye before heading home.
